ABOUT US

The Music Lair is a music production school directed by Latin GRAMMY winner James Galvez.  Our unique music program is focused on creative self-expression and technology, unlike a traditional music program focused on reading and performance.

This program was established to enrich, empower, and inspire children through the art of music production. Kids and teens (ages 11+) are guided step-by-step and mentored by Mr. James.  Students learn to operate a digital audio workstation (DAW) and utilize studio equipment, sounds, and virtual instruments to develop well-structured musical compositions. Genres of focus are Pop, Electronic Dance, Latin, R&B, and Hip Hop.

We believe that allowing youth to be creative is necessary for their overall well-being.  Studies show creative self-expression increases self-esteem, impacting decision-making, relationships, and emotional health.  Our music program encourages students to create the music they love and acquire professional technical skills, preparing them for a competitive future.
